An Agonist pits force against force; competitor against rival, and athlete against nature, in fierce competition to achieve an ultimate goal. For riders who charge up fast, epic climbs and over traverses — but also want to have serious fun on the long descent back to civilization — we created the Agonist. Harmonizing two opposing capabilities, like the agonist and antagonist muscle groups, to work toward one purpose. The Agonist demands as much of itself as you do, and together…you are unstoppable.

The Agonist 01 ONE features a full carbon frame designed around BMC's Big Wheel Concept (BWC) geometry and Advanced Pivot System (APS) suspension, making for an incredibly fast and capable XC bike. Fox's venerable Float 32 fork and Float DPS shock bring 110mm of travel front and rear to soak up bumps without compromise, while precision shifting and braking are covered by the top-of-the-line SRAM XX1 Eagle drivetrain and Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes. Lightweight, smooth-rolling 29-inch DT Swiss wheels wrapped in durable Vittoria tires confidently carry the Agonist to trail victory. And, a KS-Lev Integra dropper post and BMC MFB carbon handlebar round out this incredible build.
