Touring, cruising, crushing — added joy for every ride. Breaking from convention, the Alpenchallenge AMP is primed for the adventurer who prefers not to choose between style and performance. BMC created a lightweight bike to deliver all-day comfort in a super sleek aesthetic. An Alpenchallenge AMP is the inspired choice for your e-bike experience if you’re keen to enjoy the great outdoors and explore the backcountry. World-class Swiss design, BMC’s unerring attention to detail and noteworthy innovations unite to give the Alpenchallenge AMP a remarkable set of capabilities. A lightweight carbon chassis with an integrated drive unit offers the foundation for function and style while Micro Travel Technology adds an extra layer of comfort for an enjoyable ride. With an inspired build for off-road explorations, the Alpenchallenge AMP is your companion for amplified cycling adventures. Time to elevate your ride.
Featuring a premium carbon frame with 10mm of micro-travel rear suspension and an Integrated Cockpit System for a super-clean look, the Alpenchallenge AMP Cross is a performance machine designed to take you farther. The Shimano STEPS E-8000 drive system provides loads of pedal-assisted power and the reliability of a lithium-ion battery. These are strategically located in the center of the bike, keeping the center of gravity low, which improves handling and agility.
The LTD version includes an electronic Shimano Di2 drivetrain for remarkably accurate and quick shifting. DT Swiss AMP 1600 Spline wheels are an ideal blend of strength, durability, and lightweight. A carbon seatpost contributes additional compliance, and the Fizik Aliante saddle provides all-day comfort. The large volume of the 40mm-wide WTB Nano tires soaks up bumps, and their low tread keeps them smooth-rolling on pavement and grippy on mixed terrain.
Electronic drivetrain systems deliver excellent shifting, easy set up, and solid battery life. Here are some benefits of electronic shifting that you don't want to miss.
Shifting Performance
Electronic shifting systems use powerful servo motors to rapidly shift the chain. Because microprocessors and sensors constantly monitor every aspect of the system, they shift with surgical precision and without chain rub.
Customization
Many major systems have customizable shifting. Some have the ability to add remote shifters for common riding positions, and some even allow you to change the functions of the shifting buttons.
Dependability
Electronic groupsets are responsive and consistent. There are no cables to stretch and wear out, so you get a flawless shift every time. The added bonus is you'll never have to replace a derailleur cable ever again.
