Details
The Teammachine has won them all; the Tour de France, the Olympics, World Championships, and grueling Classics. Despite its success, BMC hasn't been resting on their laurels: to stand still means being overtaken — to remain at the top, the best must evolve. To bring you the new Teammachine, BMC pushed the boundaries of advanced cycling technology. Its creation has been all-encompassing. First, they gathered feedback from professional riders — no one knows the Teammachine better than they do. BMC also sought advice from partners outside of the industry to make sure they had access to the latest scientific research. They leveraged decades of in-house carbon expertise and explored the possibilities by applying our ground-breaking ACE Technology. The result is the pinnacle of performance in competitive cycling: the world’s raciest balance of lightweight, stiffness, and compliance, perfected with maximal integration and Swiss design. Let there be no doubts, BMC is ready.
The Teammachine SLR01 Two features BMC's top-of-the-line ACE carbon layup. It also benefits from asymmetric tube design to balance ride feel and stiffness, and optimized tube shapes for improved braking performance coupled with the direct-mount brakes. They added a SRAM Red eTap drivetrain for the ultimate in clean, cable-free electronic shifting. Furthering the performance capabilities of this bike are the DT Swiss PRC 1400 Spline wheels — at 35mm tall, the rim profile is ideal for both racing and training, and the wide footprint improves overall handling. A carbon handlebar and seatpost add compliance and keep the weight low, while a color-matched Fizik Antares saddle completes the picture. Ride what the pros ride with the Teammachine SLR01.
Electronic drivetrain systems deliver excellent shifting, easy set up, and solid battery life. Here are some benefits of electronic shifting that you don't want to miss.
Shifting Performance
Electronic shifting systems use powerful servo motors to rapidly shift the chain. Because microprocessors and sensors constantly monitor every aspect of the system, they shift with surgical precision and without chain rub.
Customization
Many major systems have customizable shifting. Some have the ability to add remote shifters for common riding positions, and some even allow you to change the functions of the shifting buttons.
Dependability
Electronic groupsets are responsive and consistent. There are no cables to stretch and wear out, so you get a flawless shift every time. The added bonus is you'll never have to replace a derailleur cable ever again.
