Details
The SCOTT Addict SE Disc was designed from the ground up with those long days in mind. With a geometry that is less focused on racing and more on enduring, a Shimano Ultegra Di2 drivetrain and disc brakes, the Addict SE Disc will be your go-to when you're looking to put the miles in.
At the core of the Addict SE Disc is a lightweight, stiff carbon frame dressed in clean aesthetics and subtle graphics. This gets paired with a full carbon fork with a tapered steerer for improved handling. An oversized bottom bracket reduces flex from pedaling forces and increases power transfer, while the 12mm thru axles add stiffness and result in a more secure wheel mounting system. Shimano's excellent Ultegra drivetrain brings all the advantages of electronic shifting, including increased shift accuracy and programmable buttons. Improved ergonomics at the brake hoods reduces hand fatigue on longer rides, while the wider-section crank arms add stiffness and increase power transfer without adding to the overall crankset weight. Powerful Ultegra flat mount hydraulic disc brakes provide confidence-inspiring braking, and the Ice-Tech Freeza use triple-layer rotors that help shed heat from braking during long descents. Syncros RP2.0 Disc wheels use rims that balance rigidity and low weight, as well as offer a wider footprint for improved tire handling characteristics. Schwalbe ONE V-Guard tires provide plenty of grip, and with their 32mm width, they help smooth over even the roughest roads.
Electronic drivetrain systems deliver excellent shifting, easy set up, and solid battery life. Here are some benefits of electronic shifting that you don't want to miss.
Shifting Performance
Electronic shifting systems use powerful servo motors to rapidly shift the chain. Because microprocessors and sensors constantly monitor every aspect of the system, they shift with surgical precision and without chain rub.
Customization
Many major systems have customizable shifting. Some have the ability to add remote shifters for common riding positions, and some even allow you to change the functions of the shifting buttons.
Dependability
Electronic groupsets are responsive and consistent. There are no cables to stretch and wear out, so you get a flawless shift every time. The added bonus is you'll never have to replace a derailleur cable ever again.
