The original cross country race machine, the Hei Hei was built to go fast – both up and down mountains. The Hei Hei design was focused on racing but we've always been of the mind that racing should be fun; 100mm of Fuse independent suspension rear travel paired with 120mm of squish up front create a balanced, fun and efficient ride. Meet Honzo ST, a steel 29er hardtail that lays waste to technical singletrack. It's aggressive, confident, and ready to rip with a 68-degree head angle, low bottom bracket, and short chain stays. Other features include a tapered head tube, internal dropper post routing, and sliding, vertical dropouts ready for gears or singlespeed shenanigans. Kona is known for its hardcore hardtails, and the Honzo proudly continues the tradition in robust style.

Kona really wants you to use ALL that extra traction, so Big Honzo is stiff and nimble, squeezing speed out of descents and begging to be swooped through corners. It uses 148 x 12mm Boost spacing and super-short chainstays to tuck in your rear wheel for tight handling and rowdy acceleration, while the long reach and front center get you into a powerful position for aggressive descending. This all adds up to a frame that's ready to go fast on the way up AND down. Throw on a 120mm fork and take proper advantage of the internal dropper post routing to find yourself on a rig that’ll keep you grinning for hours on end.
